Hola Mis Amigos y Familia,

I am so sorry.... I have been the biggest slacker on the planet.  Actually I just got super busy and tired during training.  By the time P-day came around all I wanted to do was rest up for the week.  I had a little time to shoot my President and Family a short letter, but that usually was it. Again I am so sorry for keeping you all in the dark.  Don't worry I will have lots of stories to tell when I get back.  I seriously cannot believe how quickly the time is flying by.  I am just about to hit three transfers left in the mission that is  basically nothing.... So much has happened I don´t even know where to begin.... After seven months in Maipú, and training Hna. Haskell I was sent to San Rafael.  It really is so beautiful here.  Definately a more touristy part of Mendoza.  The hard part about the area it that the ward it basically dead.  They have a lot of members, and but 95% of them are inactive.  My first week there were less than 20 people in church it was really weird.  We are working with with another companionship, and between the four of us we are hoping that we will be able the reactivate a lot of the ward.  We have been seeing some great results... This last week we had 40 people in church it was wonderful.  Because not many in our ward are active we don´t even have a Young Womans.  Hermana John (my new companion, and 3rd cousin ((I know crazy)) are planning an awesome activity for the Young Woman to help them get excited about the church again.  It is for this week.  We will be doing a make over night where we will teach them about makeup hair and nails.  I think it will be a huge success.  I am actually very excited. We are also hoping that we will be able to plan a stake activity in the next month as well.  It is just so sad the little resources that they actually have down here. I wish they could experience all the wonderful activities that are always going on in the states. Oh well there is a time for everything... the Church will continue to grow and they will see how wonderful it can be.  Well I don´t really have much more to say except I love my mission.  I love this opportunity I have to serve my Father is Heaven to learn more of the wonderful plan that he has for me, and the share the joy and love that I feel with all the people I can in the Mendoza mission.  The gospel is amazing, but we don´t have to be set apart as missionaries to share it.  I don´t know why before the mission I was so scared of what people would think if I proudly shared my testimony with them.  This gospel is such a special gift that we all have and we shouldn´t selfishly keep it to ourselves we should share it with everyone.  I love you all so very much and will talk with you later.
                           Con Cariño,

        Hermana Ricks
